Plato is currently being upgraded from Red Hat AS 3 to Ubuntu Server 7.04.

This is just a "ping" type entry, to let everyone know that LibData's alive and well at the University of Minnesota Libraries. We've not released a new open source version this year, but our in-house instance has been extended in some significant ways -- bridging to the campus enterprise portal system, central authentication schema, etc. With any luck we'll be able to embark on a rewrite of LibData in the next year, but resources are always scarce...

Plato began life under Red Hat Linux 9 around June, 2003. A fresh install of Red Hat Enterprise Linux AS 3 was performed on July 7, 2004. The procedure went smoothly, outage lasted only approximately 6 hours.
